Our Story
How J & C Came to Be

We had been working together for almost two years and had never personally interacted with each other aside from work-related tasks and the polite hellos and goodbyes. It was not until a Christmas dinner with co-workers, hosted by Jonathan outside of work, that we had the opportunity to get to know each other. That evening, what started off as a casual conversation about our interests and upcoming travels, facilitated itself into a natural connection. We ended up chatting until the wee hours without either one of us noticing that everyone had left and the restaurant was closing up.

Shortly after, on Christmas Eve, Jonathan asked me to go skating with him. Our first date was on Dec 27, 2013 and it turned out to be the most Canadian of dates: skating at Harbourfront and sharing poutine while watching a hockey game (Go Leafs!) at the legendary Loose Moose!

I would later find out that Jonathan was a Montreal Canadiens fan, but by then I already knew that I wanted to be with him and we have been inseparable ever since.

Nicole - Maid of Honour

Nicole and I have known each other since we started high school; where we ended up seated next to each other because of our last names. Since then, we've grown up together, travelled to different parts of the world; and no matter where we go, and no matter what situation we have been faced with, I can always count on the fact that we'll try and make the most of it and end up with a good laugh.

Dorothy - Bridesmaid

Dorothy is one of my dearest cousins who I've had the pleasure of growing up with. I still treasure all our late night conversations during sleepovers when we were younger and the talks we share now as adults. I consider her one of the wisest people I know.

Rebecca - Bridesmaid

Rebecca is another one of my dearest cousins who I grew up with. Every time we get together, she is a reminder of how lucky I am to have cousins who are close and share common interests, namely, the love of food and travel ;P With Rebecca, I can always return to the innocence of childhood. She'll always be Em Tram :)

Ren - Flower Girl

I've known Ren from the day she was born and she has become the sassiest little girl I know! Glad to have this sweet girl with me on our special day.

Rudolph - Best Man

Rudolph has been one of my closest friends since high school. We've continued to stick by each other during university to post-grad and now on my wedding day. I would consider him to be my brother from another mother. We both have a similar sense of humour that makes us an unstoppable force when we get together!

Alfred - Groomsman

I would consider Alfred the leader of our group of closest friends, and not just because he is the tallest :) . He is considerate to others paired with a great sense of style; a perfect combination for a gentleman! We all consider him to be a great role model.

Cameron - Groomsman

One of the most kindred spirits I know is Cam. Very humble and down to earth and also someone I would consider as one of my closest friends. I always enjoy hearing stories he shares about Muay Thai and teaching. You can always tell he is passionate and that easily spreads to others.

Jacob - Ring Bearer

I will always remember when I was a ring bearer and I'm proud to see Jacob take part in our special day. He is very excited to take on this big role!
